Jira sprint risk monitoring

Velocity charts tell you a sprint failed. SprintSight warns you while you can still save it.

SprintSight scans every active sprint daily, calculates completion probability from live velocity, and posts AI risk summaries with concrete actions — before the sprint slips.

SprintSight dashboard showing sprint completion probability, risk level, and stalled issues.

Problem to solution

Jira's burndown and velocity charts are backward-looking. By the time they show a problem, the sprint is already lost. Teams need a monitor that flags risk mid-sprint, while de-scoping or reassigning still helps.

Completion probability

A daily scan compares actual velocity to required velocity and scores every active sprint 0–100 with green, yellow, or red risk levels.

AI risk summaries

When a sprint turns yellow or red, SprintSight writes a plain-English summary naming stalled issues and recommending 1–2 concrete actions.

In-Jira alerts

Risk alerts arrive as labeled issues in your project — no new tool, no separate inbox, no configuration.

How it works

From install to first useful signal.

The core workflow is intentionally short. If setup needs a consultant, the product has already failed.

  1. Install SprintSight from the Atlassian Marketplace.
  2. Open the SprintSight page in any Jira project.
  3. Review daily risk levels, stalled issues, and AI recommendations.

FAQ

Common questions.

How is the completion probability calculated?

SprintSight compares your sprint's actual velocity (points completed per elapsed day) against the velocity required to finish the remaining work by the sprint end date.

Where does my sprint data live?

Sprint snapshots are stored in Atlassian Forge storage inside Atlassian's infrastructure. Aggregated sprint metrics are sent to Anthropic's API only to generate risk summaries, and are not used for model training.

Does it work with Jira Service Management?

SprintSight is built for Jira Software sprints on scrum boards. JSM queues are not supported.
